Our Little Camper...sort of

Last weekend we took Julia for her second camping trip down in Sedona. She started off great, she loved being outside, playing in the dirt and sitting by the campfire. She even went to sleep right away in her little pea pod Friday night. I thought this was too easy! I was wrong, she woke up around 1 am crying and inconsolable. I could not get her to calm back down after trying for almost 2 hours we had to get in the car and drive back home leaving Andy and Dexter. We did not want to wake up the other campers! But after sleeping in her own bed for the rest of the night and then a nice long nap we returned to the campsite for more fun. And Julia made it all night Saturday without waking up!

This was her favorite thing, pushing her little car on the road.
Pushing my car!
She took a break from pushing her car to have a snack...
Having a snack
But not for long, she decided to take her snack to go!

We brought a pack and play so she could sit in there and play. She may have sat in there for a total of 5 minutes the entire trip.
Let me out!

And Julia got to experience some junk food while camping, she tried an Oreo and Doritos...
My first dorito!
Since we did have to go home for a portion of the weekend we missed out on an awesome hike.

Overall it was a good trip, we are lucky that we lived close to the campground and it was only a 30 minute drive home. Next time we hope Julia sleeps well both nights!
