Thanksgiving 2009 I spent hanging out with Oscar and Dexter watching tv and counting down the hours until Andy was off call. I had probably seen him for about 2-3 hours over the past week due to his hectic call schedule. But once he was off call at 7am Friday morning we had a nice 3 day weekend to reconnect. I wanted to make a Thanksgiving Dinner for the two of us, nothing too big just a few of our favorites, turkey in the crockpot which was super easy, pumpkin pie, stuffing and mashed potatoes and giant rolls that may be as big as my butt.
Everything was delicious!!
The weather on Friday was excellent, we played a few good games of fetch with Oscar and Dexter.
And we decided to actually put up our Christmas tree this year, last year we were worried Dexter would knock it over. When he first came in the house he decorated it with some slobber but otherwise has left it alone. Of course we have no ornaments on it.
Another exciting event from this weekend is that we purchased a laptop computer. We have not had a laptop since our old one died about 4 years ago. We'll both be enjoying sitting on the couch and surfing the internet which we had missed a lot, of course we'll probably be fighting over who gets the laptop! Upcoming project for both of us is cleaning out our office in order to turn it into a room for Baby Overhiser. This will be a lot of work because right now the room is full of our crap. Hopefully the room will be transformed in a few weeks!
