On Saturday, I helped out with clearing a small section of a new trail that will, eventually, circle Flagstaff with a 42 mile trail. So, we decided it would be a good hike to try. The trailhead is less than a mile from our house so we figured it was a can't miss- also tried hiking for the first time with Julia in her baby bjorn.
Julia did great, even taking about an hour nap. The dogs also had fun burning all of their energy.
However, as it is a new trail, it is not marked and we took a wrong turn at a fork, ending up walking alongside a fancy subdivision. So, we just enjoyed an off-trail hike then!
